- We permit swearing and lewd conversing so long as it does not come to the point that an f-bomb is dropped every sentence.
- Sexual, racial, or religious insults will result in a permanent ban - and your IP address will be blocked. You will not be permitted to rejoin Free Winds. You will receive no warning.
- The admins and moderators have the first and last word in everything. No if's and's or but's.
- We ask that you act kindly to every guest, they're people too.
- Please welcome new members! It helps them to feel at home in a new place.
- Pornographical content is strictly forbidden and will result in a permanent ban.
- Any images that are not authorized stock from DeviantART, Flickr, or other stock providers will result in a 48 hour ban and removal of the image or manipulation.
- Due to COPPA law, any under the age of thirteen are not permitted on this forum. Due to possible obscenities, we do not permit any under fourteen.
- All members are required to post on monthly activity checks. If you do not, you will receive a 48 hour notice that - if not replied to - will result in a deletion.
- Though this is an equine roleplay, we permit zebras and donkeys. ROLEPLAY
- Absolutely no graphic material! Do not play out every scene of your characters breeding, simply have it fade to black.
- POWER PLAYING AND GOD-MODDING ARE COMPLETELY FORBIDDEN.
- Swearing is allowed IC. You can say all those 'pretty' obscenities.
- As a literate horse RPG, you MUST post more than 150 words in every post. If you cannot do so, please wait until you can and let role play partners know you are lacking muse.
- Though we still encourage more than 150 words, also keep in mind that you should focus on quality more so than quantity. If your writing is filled with grammatical, spelling, or punctual errors, though it's two thousand words long, we would prefer it be two hundred and one with zero mistakes.
- Herd leaders are required to post at least five times a week; if you do not, you will receive a 48 hour notice through PM and e-mail that your herd will be placed up for claim.
- Keep everyone in the roleplay involved, it's more fun that way and no one gets left out!BREEDING
- As stated above, there will be NO GRAPHIC SCENES in your horses breeding! Fade to black.
- After your horses have bred, please go to the Stats board to receive your foals stats. Please us the proper format.
- You may NOT design your own foal unless you have payed for a custom in the market.
- Breeding season is year-round, however, if a foal is born in winter it's survival rate is decreased severely!
- Stallions and Mares may not breed until three years of age. They can be subjects of rape under that age, but may not foal!CHALLENGING
- The challenger determines the hits and dodges.
- Once you have established a thread, please PM a staff member to judge. If your character is fighting another owned by a staff member, that staff member may not judge!
- Herd leaders may deny two challenges for their land per month; once they have denied two, they must accept all others.
- The challenger determines the time an opponent has to post before they forfeit the challenge, it may not be less that three days.
- Mares and Stallions may fight.
- Horses may fight over any reason, claims, land, foals, etc.
- However, play-fights may NOT take place in the battlegrounds.
- All fights occur in the battlegrounds.CLAIMING & STEALS
- Horses may not claim land until they are three years old.
- Mares and Stallions may claim land.
- Any horse can claim another for their herd, or simply take them in willingly - so long as it is authorized by the herd leader.
- Force claiming is allowed in ANY of the free lands.
- All steals end within three days time / three twenty four hour periods.
- Mares and stallions may steal.
- Mares, stallions, and foals may be stolen.
- Horses must stay one week in the herd that steals them; afterward they can go anywhere they please.
- A herd can only be stolen from twice a week.
- A horse may only steal once a week.
- You may only claim one main land unless you buy another from the store. - You may only claim two sub-lands.
